Hours, bent forward
Shoulders rounded, neck flexed, one wrist driving. That is the posture of a long session, and it is the posture that leaves a neck and mid-back stiff by the end of the week.
Ink and SpineInk and Spine takes Dr. Steven Woltin’s mobile care into metro Atlanta tattoo studios for the day or night, so your artists get adjusted between appointments without anyone leaving the building.
Ink and Spine is Dr. Steven’s studio program through Woltin Family Mobile Chiropractic.
What a studio day is
Why tattoo artists
Shoulders rounded, neck flexed, one wrist driving. That is the posture of a long session, and it is the posture that leaves a neck and mid-back stiff by the end of the week.
A joint that works through a small range all day tends to stop moving through its full range. Stiffness and that tight, locked-in feeling are usually the first notice you get.
Stopping means losing a booking, so artists push through it. Care only really happens when it comes to the shop instead of asking someone to find an afternoon.
How it works
Text or email Dr. Steven your studio and a date. Routes are planned the day before, so a few days' notice lands best.
A wall card or a group text is usually enough. Sessions run 20 to 30 minutes and fit into the gaps a busy shop already has.
Portable table, cupping kit, red light, infrared. Nothing for the shop to set up, nothing to clean up afterwards.
Artists book in and out through the day at Dr. Steven’s regular pricing — the same deposit, travel fee, and payment options as a home visit.
For the shop
Line work depends on a hand that is not fighting a sore neck or a tight shoulder. Comfortable artists last longer sessions and stay sharper in them.
Nobody has to leave, cancel a session, or spend an afternoon in a waiting room. The table is ten steps from the bench.
The shop pays nothing and changes nothing about how it runs. Dr. Steven brings the room with him.
Neck, shoulder, and wrist trouble is how talented people stop being able to do this job. Maintenance is cheaper than replacing an artist.
On the table
Precise, specific, controlled adjustments to restore alignment and mobility, relieve pain, and improve function.
Gentle suction increases blood flow, relaxes muscles, and releases the deep tension that settles into shoulders and lats.
Clinically backed LED and laser technology to relieve joint pain, reduce inflammation, and improve mobility.
Far-infrared heat that warms deep into muscle, supports circulation, and leaves you deeply relaxed.
Passive swaying motion that promotes relaxation, circulation, and oxygenation — ten minutes after eight hours standing.
A soothing ionized foot bath that supports circulation and helps the body relax, reset, and recover.
Holistic nutrition and the rest of the practice’s services come along too. Cupping leaves temporary marks, so artists choose placement and timing.
